PRIVACY POLICY

Short version: we store as little as possible, we don't sell anything, and your deals are between you and the other party.
What we collect
If you create an account, we store your email address. We use it only to send you magic-link sign-in emails — nothing else. We don't sell it, share it, or send you marketing.
We store the deal text, the names both parties sign with, and the timestamps of key events (created, viewed, signed). That's the product.
Deal URLs are public
Every deal lives at an unguessable URL (a random ID). Anyone who has that link can view the deal — we don't require sign-in to read a deal. Treat the deal URL like a secret: share it only with the person you're making the deal with.
Signed deals are permanent
Once a deal is signed, it's locked. The text, the signatures, and the date are immutable. We can't edit them, and neither can you — that's by design. The name the signer types is what appears on the artifact forever.
Person B can sign a deal without creating an account — they just provide a name. That name is public to anyone with the deal URL.
Where data is stored
Deal data is stored via onejsonfile.com, a shared storage backend operated by Birch Tree Studio (the studio behind OkDeal). Your data doesn't leave that system.
Cookies
We set a session cookie to keep you signed in. During the “Save this deal” flow, we also set a short-lived cookie (30 minutes) to carry the pending-claim state across the sign-in redirect. No tracking cookies, no ad pixels.
